The Press Council in Bosnia-Herzegovina has successfully realized two days Seminar „Media and Judiciary“ for judges, prosecutors, spokespersons of judiciary and journalists from Bosnia and Herzegovina

The Press Council in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in co-operation with the OHR of Brcko District, has organized the Open dialogue with journalists, citizens and politicians from Brcko District on freedom of media reporting, right of citizens on truth and complaints procedure of the Press Council in B&H on incorrect media reporting in pre-election and election period

The Press Council in Bosnia-Herzegovina held Seminar on media literacy and ethics for high school professors and students, being responsible for school newspapers. The Seminar took place in Sarajevo on 12th and 13th of November 2009.

The Press Council in B&H held seminar for judges of the first instance courts in B&H, with topic on the Article 10 of the European Convention on Human Rights and journalists’ ethical standards, with aim of more efficient application of the Law on Protection against Defamation in B&H

The Press Council in Bosnia-Herzegovina, in co-operation with German foundations Konrad Adenauer, Hanrich Böll and DVV International, as well as OSCE Mission to B&H and Municipality Ilidza, held first Summer School of Journalism for 40 students from four BH faculties from Mostar, Sarajevo, Tuzla and Banja Luka

Ambitiously planned four conferences on topic "Courts in B&H and media responsibility" were successfully realised in March 2007, thus finalising the Project commenced in October 2006: Annexes to the B&H Press Code and adoption of Recommendations for court media reporters in B&H. These conferences were preceded by printing of new booklets of the Code, with adopted Recommendations

The BH Press Council has actively participated at the conference "Application of the Law on Protection against Defamation", in Banja Luka. At the conference participated judges and lawyers from RS and representative of the Canton Court Sarajevo, that in regular practice have cases against media and journalists based on this Law

The conference "How to improve print media industry in B&H - steps for two years", was held in Sarajevo on 15th and 16th December 2006, in organisation of the BH Press Council and the Association "BH Journalists", supported by the USAID

The Press Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina held conference "Post-election period and print media" in Banja Luka on 13th October 2006, as follow up to conferences held on 28th August 2006, just before General Elections - "Media in elections times"

The Press Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in co-operation with Media Division of the Council of Europe and Media Centre from Sarajevo, has organised two conferences on topic “Media in Election Time” on 28th of August 2006 in Sarajevo and Banja Luka.

"Treating of Gender Issues and Usage of Gender Sensitive Language in Media - Annex to the Press Code", is title of the seminar held on 7th and 8th of July 2006 in Neum, organised by the Press Council of BiH and Association "BH Journalists".

The Press Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in co-operation with the SHC, Swedish Helsinki Committee, IWPR, Institute for War and Peace Reporting and Council of Europe, has organised regional conference for editors, journalists, publishers, representatives of journalists' associations and members of legislative system in B&H. The topic was "Press, ethics and self-regulation - Freedom of thoughts, responsibility for words"

The Press Council and the Office of Public Affairs of the US Embassy in BiH, with help from the Council of Europe, organised a conference for editors, journalists, publishers, representatives from journalistic associations, legislative and executive powers as well as members of the Press Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina

George C. Marshal – European Center for Security Studies in Strausberg (40 km from Berlin, Germany), from 23rd till 26th of June 2002. has organized a conference called “The Media and The Armed Security Forces: Cooperating to Contain Corruption”

Visit of B&H Press Council to Estonia was organized by Estonian Press Council with financial support of Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, after kind invitation given by Mr. Urmas Loit, Chairman of Estonian PC during his first meeting with members of B&H Press Council at the international seminar organized at mountain Bjelasnica in March 2001
