       The Press Council in Bosnia-Herzegovina is realizing two days lasting Regional conference “Reporting on Taboo”, on Tuesday and Wednesday, 01-02 December 2009 in Sarajevo. The Conference is organized for journalists from B&H and region to discuss about issues of reporting on so called banned topics, or topics whose initiating is causing great deal of pressures and problems, even threats for journalists. What are, actually, taboo topics here and for whom are such topics taboo? What were the taboo topic in journalism before and what are taboos nowadays? In which way and with what consequences journalists are disrupting such taboos in B&H? Are taboo topics imposed by changes in consciousness of people or merely by political and social changes? These are just some questions that will be opened and discussed during this important regional conference.

      Participants are journalists from Bosnia and Herzegovina and reagion, and representatives of different media institutions, and the special guest, who will open the Conference with his speech is H.E. Ambassador of Germany in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr Joachim Schmidt.

     The Conference will start on Tuesday, 01 December 2009 at 09.30h.
