Regional South East European Meeting on Media Accountability
Istanbul, 22-23rd of February 2010
Representatives of the Press Council in Bosnia and Herzegovina will participate at the regional meeting on media responsibility in South East Europe that will take place on 22-23rd of February 2010 in Istanbul, Turkey, in organisation of the UNESCO.
The objectives of this project are to encourage, assist and accelerate media reforms in the South-European countries. It aims to consolidate internationally recognized standards in these states and bring about more media protection, professionalism, accountability and independence, through a self-regulation process initiated through strong network among the local press councils.
Apart from participants from Bosnia and Herzegovina, at this meeting will participate also colleagues journalists, representatives of press councils and journalistic associations from Croatia, Serbia, Albania, Macedonia, Kosovo, South Africa, Hungary, Netherlands, Denmark, Estonia, Bulgaria, France and Turkey.
